LightingEurope and LpS 2015 Announce Partnership

The LpS 2015 (see www.LpS2015.com) is Europe’s foremost LED & OLED lighting technology event for people in industry and research who are involved in the design and engineering for future LED lighting systems in the fields of general, industrial and architectural lighting. The combination of a three-day multi-disciplinary symposium, workshops, networking possibilities and an international exhibition is the perfect opportunity to explore sophisticated semiconductor lighting. The motto for this year’s anniversary event is “Trends & Technologies for Future Lighting Solutions”.

Diederik de Stoppelaar, Secretary General of LightingEurope, said, “LightingEurope has been an active partner in past LpS programs and, for us, the added value of this event is clear. As lighting moves more and more towards smart and systems, forums such as LpS become increasingly important to exchange information and ideas.”

In answer to that, Siegfried Luger, Event Director of LpS 2015, said, “Focusing on trends, technologies and the building blocks for smart lighting designs also requires continuous alignment with the lighting industry. In this respect we are pleased to collaborate with LightingEurope, the voice of the lighting industry in Europe.”

LightingEurope is an industry association of 31 European lighting manufacturers, national associations, and companies producing materials. LightingEurope members represent over 1,000 European companies, a majority of which are SMEs; a total workforce of over 100,000 people in Europe; and an annual turnover estimated to exceed 20 billion Euros. LightingEurope is dedicated to promoting efficient lighting practices for the benefit of the global environment, human comfort, and the health and safety of consumers.
